Hervey Bay CBD Lacks Identity

There’s been much talk through the years about how to revitalise the elderly part of the Pialba business district. I personally believe there is one fundamental problem that needs addressing. We need to have a suburb called Hervey Bay City that incorporates the CBD region. At the moment the CBD lies over the suburb of both Pialba & Gamble CBD at Uraween, therefore confusing many outsiders on which the CBD is. It’s also tough for organizations to brand themselves to a nation, intrastate or worldwide degree if they write there speech as Pialba, meaning nothing outside the region.

At the new age of technology it is quite¬†cbd isolate wholesale essential to get a clear brand out from the market, because individuals are now doing almost all of these research via internet using search engines like Google. Someone sitting in Sydney attempting to conduct business in Hervey Bay isn’t planning to search to get a suburb such as Pialba; they stipulate that the name of Hervey Bay, like they’d type in Maryborough or Brisbane.

The problem goes way beyond ordinary branding, it gets reflected in real estate magazines& web sites that show property values for many of the various suburbs in across the area, but there is no suburb of Hervey Bay. Most Weather maps don’t recognise our area, consider a lot of their state and national newspapers; they skip Hervey Bay inside their maps, though lots of towns with much smaller populations are displayed. Some of the evening news weather maps do the exact same. Proceed to many search engines for travel, like google maps, RACQ, and also the location of this city disagrees and you usually do not have a very clear or consistent location of where the CBD is. It will not exist outside council’s town planning scheme.

As somebody who works within the CBD and will take lots of commercial business state-wide & interstate, it’s really a source of constant confusion and very difficult to get accurate statistics to reflect CBD earnings, inhabitants, values etc.. It’s also difficult to show anyone inter-state that there’s no CBD suburb and section of Pialba or Uraween covers the CBD.

I think it would have been a fantastic branding practice for Hervey Bay to have a clear identity for its City Heart. Also with the new Fraser Coast Regional Council it could promote two CBD facilities. This would be beneficial for business to all come under a frequent Brand New.
